While serving as a sworn Kane County Sheriff's Deputy, Jeff Bodin worked to engage and better serve the community, staff, and incarcerated individuals. Jeff is committed to leading with openness, collaboration, transparency and will strengthen community partnerships.

Achievements

Jeff has achieved the most DUI arrests within the Kane County Sheriff's Office for 5 years in a row (2016-2020). He has been recognized by the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists on two separate occasions for his efforts in DUI arrests. Consistently being the leader in overall department arrests, Jeff has earned two awards for merit for his collaborative arrest of a kidnapping suspect and as the sole officer responsible for locating burglary suspects.

School Safety

Jeff will implement his #KeepOurKaneKidsSafe initiative that will put trained Auxiliary Deputies and trained retired police offices in Kane County schools to keep our children safe.

Fiscal Responsibility

Once elected Sheriff, Jeff has detailed plans on how to reorganize the public safety staff to have more patrol deputies on the street while cutting down on a massive overtime budget. In doing so, he will appropriately maintain the Investigations, Warrants and Evidence Divisions and will ensure School Resource Officers are effectively staffed. Jeff will change the Patrol Division to 75% of the public safety staff, instead of the current 60%.
